Nitrosend vs AiTrillion.

Unlimited contacts, priced on sends, agent-native, and a published price at scale.

TL;DR

AiTrillion is an all-in-one Shopify retention suite. Loyalty points, VIP tiers, referrals, reviews, memberships, affiliates, and popups sit on one contact record alongside email, SMS, WhatsApp, and web push, priced on how many contacts you hold. If you use more than the email half of that, the bundle is the argument, and it's a good one: nine modules on one bill is genuinely nine vendors you don't have.

Where it runs out is the meter. The bill is capped on contacts and metered on email credits, so your list size and your monthly send volume both have to fit the same rung. Ours is the mirror image. We bill the send, the list is unlimited on every plan including Free, and every capability is an API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen.

Stores pricing this usually look at the broader multichannel suites too, so the Brevo comparison and the Campaign Monitor comparison sit next to this one, and the Amazon SES comparison covers what the raw sending costs once the bundle is stripped away.

Pricing math

What you actually pay.

Monthly billing, in USD, before AiTrillion's annual discount of two months free. The right-hand column is AiTrillion's contact-based ladder, and AiTrillion sells an order-based one as well, billed on monthly orders instead. Read their rung against both of your numbers, because contacts and email credits are capped separately and one plan has to clear each of them.

Migration

How to switch (or run both).

AiTrillion keeps sending while you move, and the loyalty program, review widgets, memberships, and affiliates stay exactly where they are. This is a partial migration by design.

  1. Add and verify your sending domain in Nitrosend. DKIM and SPF records sit alongside AiTrillion's, so both platforms can send from the same domain for as long as the overlap lasts.
  2. Export your contacts with their attributes and tags, then import them with nitro_import_contacts. Loyalty balances, review content, membership state, and affiliate records don't travel with them: that's storefront data held in AiTrillion's own modules rather than list data, and it stays.
  3. Move one low-stakes message type first with nitro_send_message, a welcome or a receipt, and watch it for a week before a campaign follows it.
  4. Rebuild automations as flows with nitro_compose_flow. The triggers have equivalents on both sides: contact added, attribute changed, and event fired. A flow that fired on points earned or a review requested needs that event pushed in, so decide which of those stay with AiTrillion.
  5. Decide what carries your reputation. BYO sending keys on Pro and above route mail through Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid, on the domain and IP you already warmed. That's the step that makes the move reversible.
Honest credit

What AiTrillion does well.

Picking a tool is about fit. Here's what AiTrillion is genuinely good at.

  • Nine retention modules that usually mean nine vendors sit on one contact record and one bill: loyalty points, VIP tiers, referrals, reviews, memberships, affiliates, popups, recommendations, and upsells.
  • Four messaging channels on that same record: email, SMS, WhatsApp, and web push.
  • Loyalty and review events are first-class automation triggers, so a campaign fires on points earned or a review requested with no integration in between.
  • Storefront surfaces install without developer work: the loyalty widget, the review widgets, and the popups are plug and play.
  • Shopify POS integration, so an in-store purchase earns against the same loyalty record.
  • A shopper-facing AI agent trained on store data that handles product discovery, order status, shipping, returns, and loyalty balances around the clock.
  • A real free tier: $0 a month, 250 contacts, 250 email credits, and web push, with no card.
  • An order-based ladder as well as a contact-based one, so a store with a big list and few orders can be billed on business volume instead of list size.
  • 4.9 out of 5 across 290 Shopify App Store reviews, and support is what merchants name most often.
What Nitrosend adds

Where we think we're better.

  • Unlimited contacts on every plan, including Free, so a list that grows without being mailed never moves the bill.
  • The bill is the send, not the list, so the two limits that have to line up on a retention app's rung collapse into one here.
  • No contact overage to buy: AiTrillion adds $10 a month per additional 1,000 contacts, and there's no equivalent line here.
  • A published price from 500,000 to over 4,000,000 emails a month, where a retention app's ladder turns into a quote.
  • One product, sender-side, covering campaigns and transactional email on one bill, with no loyalty engine, review widget, or storefront chatbot competing for the same roadmap.
  • MCP-first is an architecture, not an integration: every capability at Nitrosend is an email API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen.
  • Their AI agent is pointed at your shoppers. Ours is pointed at your operator, which is a different job in the same product category.
  • The agent surface covers campaigns, flows, contacts, templates, segments, deliverability, billing, tests, and approvals, which are the steps that usually send someone back to a dashboard.
  • BYO sending keys on Pro and above route mail through Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid, on the domain and IP you already warmed.
Use case fit

When to pick which.

Pick AiTrillion if

You run a Shopify store and the retention program is the marketing program: points, VIP tiers, referrals, reviews, and memberships rendering on the storefront, with email and WhatsApp firing off those same events on one bill. The same goes for a shopper-facing agent answering order status and returns, and for a list that's small relative to your revenue, where a contact cap never binds. None of those are close calls.

Pick Nitrosend if

Email is the channel your program runs on and your list is much bigger than your monthly send volume, so you're tired of paying for addresses you don't mail. It's the right call too when you want the platform to answer to an agent end to end, including the deliverability, billing, testing, and approval steps that usually send someone back to a dashboard, or when you want the transport to stay yours while the platform above it changes.

FAQ

AiTrillion vs Nitrosend - common questions.

Can Nitrosend replace AiTrillion?

For the email half, yes. Campaigns, flows, segments, templates, contacts, and transactional sending are all here on one bill, with contacts unlimited on every plan. Loyalty, reviews, memberships, affiliates, and the storefront widgets aren't, so a store whose marketing runs on those keeps AiTrillion for them or splits the stack deliberately.

Is Nitrosend cheaper than AiTrillion?

It depends on which limit binds first. At the entry rung they're close, $20 Pro against $19 Basic, and the gap opens as either your list or your send volume grows, because AiTrillion's rung has to clear both: Basic is 1,000 contacts and 1,500 email credits a month, where Pro is 20,000 emails against a list of any size.

Can I keep AiTrillion's loyalty program and send email from Nitrosend?

Yes, and for a lot of stores that's the right answer. Both platforms authenticate against the same sending domain, so the loyalty widget, the review widgets, and the memberships keep running while the email program moves. The flows that fired on loyalty or review events are the ones to make a decision about, because those triggers live in AiTrillion.

AiTrillion has an AI agent too, so what's actually different?

Who it's pointed at. Theirs answers your shoppers on the storefront: product questions, order status, shipping, returns, and loyalty balances. Ours takes instructions from you and runs the program, down to deliverability, billing, tests, and approvals. Both are real, and they aren't the same product.
