Nitrosend vs Loops.

Same modern aesthetic, different operator.

TL;DR

Loops is the modern dashboard-first ESP for SaaS companies. Clean UI, event-based sending, audiences and flows and transactional in one product. Very good if a human is the operator and that human likes clicking in a browser.

Nitrosend is the same category of modern ESP, except the primary operator is an AI agent. Every Loops feature has an MCP equivalent in Nitrosend, and we add BYO sending keys so you can keep your existing provider, plus unlimited contacts on every plan (Loops tiers on contacts).

Both products put campaigns and transactional email on one account, and on our side that account is reachable through a single email API as well as the MCP.

Migration

How to switch (or run side by side).

No big-bang migrations. Move the pieces you want, keep what works.

  1. Export contacts from Loops as CSV. Import via nitro_import_contacts or the /v1/my/contacts/import endpoint.
  2. Recreate flows using nitro_compose_flow from your AI agent. Describe the flow in plain English; the agent builds it.
  3. Keep Loops running in parallel for a week while you validate Nitrosend sends look right.
  4. Switch your app's transactional calls to Nitrosend when you're confident. Same fire-and-forget shape.
  5. Optionally route sending through a BYO provider (Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid) on Pro or Ultra to keep your existing sending infrastructure.
Honest credit

What Loops does well.

Picking a tool is about fit, not tribalism. Here's where Loops genuinely shines.

  • Opinionated UX that reduces email-marketing decision fatigue. The built-in audiences + flows + transactional model is well-paved for SaaS.
  • Excellent dashboard for a human operator. Clean visual editor, clear analytics, low learning curve.
  • Good event-based sending and transactional handling in one product.
  • Mature Stripe, Segment, and webhook integrations.
  • Active, responsive team and a strong design-led brand.
What Nitrosend adds

Where we think we're better.

  • Workflow surface for AI agents: MCP covering campaigns, flows, contacts, templates, segments, deliverability, billing, tests, and approvals. Transactional sends stay in REST/SDK.
  • Unlimited contacts on every plan, including Free. No contact-count tax as your list grows.
  • BYO sending keys on Pro and above: keep your existing Resend, SES, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid reputation and route sends through them while Nitrosend runs the platform.
  • Transactional and marketing streams are deliverability-isolated, same discipline as the transactional-specialist tools.
  • Clean REST API and typed Node SDK alongside the MCP, so developers can use whichever interface they prefer.
Use case fit

When to pick which.

Pick Loops if

A human marketer is the primary operator, you like Loops' specific opinionated UX, and you're happy with contact-tier pricing.

Pick Nitrosend if

You want AI agents as the primary operator, you want unlimited contacts, or you want BYO sending so you can keep your current provider.

Where else to look

Teams shortlisting Loops usually price the Mailchimp legacy-ESP comparison and the Mail Blaze writeup beside it. A product whose alerts start as in-app notifications belongs against the MagicBell breakdown instead, and the full provider comparison index lists the rest.

FAQ

Loops vs Nitrosend - common questions.

Does Loops have an MCP server?

Not at time of writing. Loops is dashboard-first with a REST API. If you want to drive email from Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT, Nitrosend's MCP covers it.

Is Nitrosend cheaper than Loops?

Usually yes, because Loops tiers on contacts and Nitrosend doesn't. A SaaS with 50,000 contacts and 20,000 emails/mo pays $20 on Nitrosend Pro and roughly $49 on Loops. The gap widens as contact count grows.

Can Nitrosend do event-triggered emails like Loops?

Yes. Use nitro_compose_flow with an event trigger. Same concept Loops uses, exposed as both a REST API and an MCP tool.

Do I have to use AI to use Nitrosend?

No. The REST API and Node SDK work without touching the MCP or AI features at all. The AI layer is an addition, not a requirement.
