Five, not ten. Two hundred and fifty-four Denver-area agencies came through the research and eleven cleared the gate on paper. Six of those eleven then failed on a read, and four of the six failed for the same reason, which is the honest finding about this city: Denver has excellent email agencies that make no AI claim at all, and it has excellent AI agencies where email is one bullet on a menu of twelve. Almost nobody is both. In 2026 the job changed. Agents now build the campaign, segment the audience, draft the copy and stage the send, and the marketer is the director rather than the operator. That shift is why AI capability is scored here at all. It is also the easiest thing on a website to fake, because AI does not actually know email marketing, and it confidently makes things up, from generic unsourced welcome sequences to hallucinations about deliverability. So I read every AI claim against the site it came from and scored the evidence, not the banner.

- ChatGPT Ads, tested live for three weeks, Google AI Mode shopping research
Nine case studies, each carrying a number, is the most proof any Denver firm puts on the table. HEX Performance grew email revenue 51 percent and email became its largest single revenue source. REP Fitness website sales rose 162 percent, XMARK repeat customer revenue 104 percent. The published method runs in order: audit, fix the flows, then campaign and grow the list.
Founder Megan Bortner spent four years at Epsilon before starting this in 2018, and she is in Denver, as is the marketing director who ran email here first. The AI is honest rather than loud: a three week live test of ChatGPT Ads and research that Google AI Mode returns 95 percent fewer product listings. Once a store passes 25 percent of revenue attributed to email clicks it is doing email right, and this is the firm most likely to get you there.
Take it when you want an email program that is measured properly and you would rather have proof than promises.

- Klaviyo predictive analytics: Predicted CLV, Churn Risk Prediction, Average Time Between Orders, Klaviyo Composer
Sixteen years old, entirely Colorado, the only firm here that publishes its homework. It traced the retention statistics the industry quotes back to source and found three of four have none, and warned that Shopify switching off Additional Scripts would silently kill conversion tracking on non-Plus stores. Toyota Trucks, Sierra Nevada, Eddie Bauer and Musco Lighting are clients.
The AI is machine learning operated properly rather than claimed. The Klaviyo page checks the data floor behind Predicted CLV, Churn Risk Prediction and Average Time Between Orders before promising any of them, the opposite of how predictive features get sold. The right architecture, it argues, lets you stop reacting to churn and start predicting it. Co-founder EJ Ulery has been in the seat since 2010 and all eight people I pulled are in Colorado. What it lacks is a case study with a number.
Take it when the email problem is really a data problem and you want someone who will say so.

- Omnia AI email drafting for subject lines, body copy and send schedules, Omnia AI blog generation, Site chatbot trained on the client's own content
The only firm in the pool where AI writes the email rather than the blog post about the email. AI drafts subject lines, body copy and send schedules tuned to each segment, inside the platform that sends the campaign, alongside AI blog generation and a chatbot trained on the client's own content. It is also the only firm here that prints a number: $199 a month against $1,300 bought piecemeal.
Twenty-seven named clients, a public client map, 900 sites launched, and a team whose Denver tenures run to sixteen years. It publishes no result, so evidence scores lowest of the five. My own view is that the common failure in email design is defaulting to minimal-lux, the right call about 30 percent of the time, and an AI drafting into a template library finds that default unless somebody overrules it.
Take it when you are buying a system rather than a specialist, and you want the AI drafting on day one.

- Folderly, its own AI email deliverability platform, Research AI, an internal go-to-market platform
The strongest genuine AI here and the weakest claim on Denver. Folderly began as the firm's own spam problem and is now an AI-driven deliverability platform it runs as a separate product, alongside Research AI. When a campaign goes quiet, the published first move is bounce rates, inbox placement, domain reputation and blacklists, before anyone rewrites copy. Results are traced: 320 appointments in twelve months, nine deals won in the first three.
Two caveats. This is cold outbound, not your own list, so it answers a different question than the four above. In ten years of doing email we never had constant requests for AI outbound until now, and the reason is the need to personalize better than spray and pray, which is what the deliverability practice protects. Denver is also one of six offices, and of eight people I pulled only one is here.
Take it when the job is booking meetings from a cold list and you want the deliverability handled by people who built a tool for it.

- Route to Recommendation, its AI guest-journey practice, Generative search analysis among its proprietary tools
A Denver agency that turned twenty this year and rebuilt its thesis around AI search for one industry. Route to Recommendation carries its own research: language models serve a shortlist of three to five properties before a traveler reaches a website, and the firm took it to the Hotel Marketing Association as a webinar rather than a sales deck. Marriott International, Benchmark Hotels and Puttshack are clients.
Email lives inside CRM, one of eight services, which is why specialization is a 3 and why this is last. It is not an email shop and does not pretend to be. What it has is the one staffed lifecycle seat in Denver outside the pure email agencies, a founder and a chief executive both in the city, and a real office at 1401 17th Street.
Take it when the brand is hospitality and the guest journey matters more than the send calendar.
Also worth knowing
Five Denver agencies whose business really is email are missing from the ranking above because of one rule, not because of a low score, and they are the reason this list is five. I am naming all five, because a ranked list that hides what its own rule cost is not showing its work. The floor is one published AI claim about the firm's own work. Ordinary flow automation, however well done, is not an AI claim.
MH Digital Consulting Group is the one that hurts most. Email and SMS only, Braze and Klaviyo, seventeen named clients including Ritual and Kaiyo, six published case studies, and an office on South Colorado Boulevard. It is the most specialized email agency in the city by a distance. The word AI appears exactly once on its entire site, in the line "the extension of your team you wish AI could be", which is a claim not to be AI. Everything else is marketing automation described plainly. So the best pure email shop in Denver is here rather than ranked, and that is the price of the rule.
BKMedia Group works from Boulder County on D2C outdoor brands, with a Klaviyo Email and SMS Master Certified chief operating officer, two email marketing coordinators on staff, Sherpani at 56 percent direct-to-consumer growth and Freespirit Recreation at 37 percent year over year. Zero occurrences of AI, artificial intelligence, machine learning or predictive anywhere on the site.
The Source Marketing Group is in Broomfield, female-founded, positions itself as retention infrastructure, names eighteen clients in regulated categories most agencies will not touch, and holds four ESP partnerships. Same zero.
Brehm Media is in Littleton, a Klaviyo partner with seven named clients and eight case studies, and Lawrence Benally Design Company in Centennial does the unglamorous half properly, including domain authentication with DKIM, DMARC and SPF and branded operational aliases. Neither makes an AI claim of any kind.
Five more were ranked out for city presence. Metta Society has a genuine AI creative practice on its own page and describes itself as designing email ecosystems, but its only Denver evidence is a footer line reading "locations Denver New York Los Angeles", with no address, no case study and no named person anywhere on the site. InboxArmy holds more than forty ESP partnerships and the deepest email-only practice in the whole research pool, and is headquartered in Grapevine, Texas. GOSH Digital ranks fifth for "klaviyo agency denver" with a page titled Klaviyo Agency Denver and a Gold Partner badge, and is headquartered in Dubai. CodeCrew names fifty clients and twelve ESP partnerships from Oakland, California. Climb & Conquer names twenty-nine from Stockton-on-Tees, England.
Six more are real Denver agencies with real AI, where the AI is search rather than email. Fruition is the most serious AI engineering shop in the city, with six AI agents cutting IEP creation time 70 percent and a 90 percent reduction in RFP response time, and email is one clause on a digital marketing line. Peaks Digital Marketing runs a generative engine optimization practice and AI SEO consulting; email appears once, as a content type. Clicta Digital leads with AI SEO and GEO across sixteen named clients. Campfire Digital sells AI search optimization and publishes a full price card. Denver Media Group builds AI agents and operational automation on MiOpsAI. Red Egg Marketing has an AI SEO and SEO Manager on the team page and writes thoughtfully about email, but publishes no client and no case study.
Three more I looked hard at and did not rank. Team Crew Marketing holds five ESP partnerships and an AI outbound engine it calls G.O.A.T., with zero named clients, zero case studies and zero named people. eCom Karma is Denver-based with six named people and a large library on how language models surface brands, but its email is stage five of a consulting framework rather than a service it staffs, and it publishes no client and no result. EMNMS is Colorado-based and email is its whole business, but it is email system migration and administration: Microsoft 365, Exchange, DNS and mailbox cleanup, not marketing.
How to choose between them
If the brief is email and only email, the honest answer is that your shortlist is Labyrinth Digital from this page and MH Digital Consulting Group from the section above it. Labyrinth is ranked because it clears the AI floor and MH Digital is not because it does not, but on specialization alone MH Digital is the stronger email shop and you should talk to both.
If the email problem is really a data problem, stop shopping for an email agency. BLKDG will tell you that your Shopify numbers and your Klaviyo numbers disagree because they measure different things, and then fix the architecture underneath rather than the subject lines on top. That is the most common expensive problem in this city and almost nobody sells the fix.
If you are a Colorado small business buying your first system rather than your first specialist, Denver Website Designs is the only firm here that will hand you the site, the CRM, the campaigns and an AI that drafts them on one monthly bill, and the only one that tells you the number before the call.
If the job is cold outbound, Belkins, and be clear with yourself that it is a different job. If the brand is hospitality, Screen Pilot, because the guest journey is the program.
For any of the email firms, one more question: how do they move between client accounts? I said on The Breakout CEO in August 2026: "we got a couple of agencies discover us off X and like the ability to set up a client and admin and kind of optimize clients and flick between them as well", and when the agency setup launched I wrote on LinkedIn: "Agencies found Nitrosend before we found them." An agency that runs every client from one place should be able to show you your account in minutes.
How this list is ranked
Twenty-four ranking pages, directories and Denver SERPs produced 596 agency mentions, which deduplicated to 426 firms, of which 254 carry a Denver-area location. Fifty were shortlisted, forty-seven sites were scraped in full including their contact and pricing pages, and forty-six were extracted to structured facts. Thirty-five state a Denver office or team. Twenty-three carry email or retention as a core service. Eleven of those clear the AI floor on a mechanical count, and that eleven is where the reading starts rather than where it ends.
Six of the eleven did not survive it. Four of them make no AI claim at all once you grep their own site text for AI, artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive, because what the extraction had tagged as an AI service line was ordinary flow automation. One states a Denver location with no address and no person. One sells email as a stage in a consulting framework rather than as a service with anyone in the seat. That leaves five, and it is five because five earned it. Padding the last five slots with Denver agencies whose AI is search and whose email is a bullet would have made this page longer and the ranking worse, so those firms are named above with what they actually do.
I also checked the thing that went wrong in another city. Every street address in the corpus was compared against every other, and no two Denver agencies share one, so there is no registered-agent cluster here. The one registered-agent address that does appear is 8 The Green in Dover, Delaware, which is the stated headquarters of Belkins and of one firm that did not qualify, and it is disclosed on Belkins' card. No agency in the pool matched the shell signature either: five or more named AI tools with no clients, no case studies and no named people.
Each criterion rewards something different. Specialization rewards a firm whose menu is messaging and little else, because craft comes from repetition. AI capability rewards published evidence of AI inside the firm's own delivery, which is why AI that drafts the email scores 7 and AI that helps you rank in a chatbot scores 4. Evidence rewards named clients, numbers traceable to a brand, partner tiers and awards that can be checked. City presence rewards people actually in the Front Range rather than a mailing address, which is why the firm with the best AI on this page scores 3 on location. Scores are out of 10 each and the total is out of 40. No third-party star rating is quoted, republished or emitted as structured data anywhere on this page, because a rating I did not collect is not a rating I can stand behind.
How this list is ranked
I score every agency here out of 40, ten points each for specialization, AI capability, published evidence and a real Denver team. The scores are mine, against those four criteria and nothing else. I score blind, from published evidence, before I open any customer list, so using Nitrosend is worth zero points and is disclosed on the card where it applies.
Nitrosend is the company I co-founded. It sells email infrastructure to agencies and is not an email marketing agency itself, so it does not appear on this list and could not. Nobody paid for a place here, and no place on this list is for sale.
I score AI capability because Nitrosend publishes this list and Nitrosend is built for agencies that run client email from an AI agent. That is my commercial interest and you should read the list knowing it. An agency that adds real AI capability will score higher here the next time I check this page, and Nitrosend for agencies is one way to do that and not the only one. I score claims on evidence rather than on banners: a named tool, a named workflow, a case study with a result, or an AI role on the team page. Every AI claim here links to its source.
The scoring is positive only: a lower score means less specialized for this brief, never a worse agency, and all 5 entries say what that firm is genuinely best at.
Denver Website Designs and Belkins are tied on 25 and the points are earned in opposite columns: one firm is entirely in Denver with AI writing the email, the other has built real AI and is barely in Denver at all. The order inside that tie carries no meaning and I have not invented a gap. This list is five rather than ten because five Denver agencies earned a ranked place, for the reasons set out above, and because the inclusion floor removed four genuinely good email shops that make no AI claim at all. They are named. One thing to know while you read my scores: Nitrosend is the company I co-founded, it publishes this page, and it sells email infrastructure to agencies. Nobody paid to be here and there is no entry to buy.
If you are an agency reading your own entry and you want the AI score to move, the thing that moves it is published evidence: one named workflow, one case study with a number, one role on the team page with the work described. What matters is not replacing expertise, it is making the baseline higher for everyone using AI for email. Nitrosend for agencies is one way to produce that evidence, because you can manage client email with multi-brand support, a single login and a prompt rather than a dashboard, and your AI can operate Klaviyo, Resend, beehiiv, Mailchimp, Omnisend or Nitrosend itself through MCP and connectors, with pre-send safety gates. What comes out the other side is a workflow you can point at.
FAQ
Labyrinth Digital, at 28 out of 40, because it publishes nine case studies each carrying a number, its founder came out of Epsilon, and both the founder and the marketing director are in Denver. Two briefs change that answer. If the email numbers and the store numbers disagree and nobody knows why, BLKDG is the firm that will find it. If you want the most specialized email shop in the city and the AI floor is not your concern, MH Digital Consulting Group is named in "Also worth knowing" above and it is email and SMS and nothing else.
Because five earned a place. Thirty-five agencies in the research state a Denver office or team, twenty-three carry email or retention as a core service, and eleven of those make a published AI claim, which is the floor for a ranked slot. Reading those eleven removed six. Four of them, including the most specialized email agency in the city, make no AI claim anywhere on their site once you check the words rather than the tags, and they are named above with exactly what they do have. One states a Denver location with no address and no named person, and one sells email as a stage in a consulting framework rather than as a staffed service. Denver has real email specialists and real AI agencies, and they are almost never the same firm. That is a finding about the market, not a gap in the research.
Between about $1,500 and $6,000 a month for a managed program, with a real floor far below that if you are buying a platform rather than a specialist, and no ceiling once paid media is in the same retainer. Three Denver firms publish a price card. Denver Website Designs prices the whole platform at $199 a month against $1,300 or more a month bought piece by piece, with the email marketing module valued at $49 a month and the SMS module at $45, and builds from $1,499 one-time or $5,000 for a storefront. Campfire Digital publishes three managed tiers at $2,000, $4,000 and $6,000 a month, plus maintenance-only plans at $100 and $250. Peaks Digital Marketing publishes $1,500 a month at Startup and $2,500 at Featured. Two more publish the bands they work in rather than a price: Strats & Roadmaps asks you to pick from under $2,500, $2,500 to $5,000, $5,000 to $10,000, $10,000 to $25,000 or more, and Lawrence Benally runs from under $500 to $10,000 and up with web design quoted at $500 to $25,000. Three things move a quote inside that band. Seniority is the first, and it is the reason the floor is where it is: Robert Half puts a Denver email marketing specialist at $63,000 at the 25th percentile, $78,300 at the median and $90,300 at the 75th, so a firm putting an experienced person on your account in this city cannot do it for $500 a month, and the $199 tier is buying software with AI drafting rather than a person. Scope is the second, and the most useful published example is Denver's outbound market rather than its retention market: Team Crew Marketing states plainly that a focused local campaign works at $1,500 to $3,000 a month while an omnichannel program needs $5,000 to $10,000 or more to produce meaningful data. The platform is the third, and it is usually underestimated: Klaviyo's own partner page reports that for every $1 of Klaviyo subscription revenue, partners see at least $3 in implementation, strategy and managed services, which puts a brand paying $500 a month for Klaviyo at roughly $1,500 a month of services around it. Budget the platform separately from the agency.
Because the mechanical half of email production is the expensive half, and a firm that has automated it can put its people on the work that needs people. It is also the easiest claim on a website to fake, which is why every AI point on this page links to a named tool, a named workflow, a published result or a named person's profile, and why four Denver agencies with genuinely good email practices scored a zero here rather than a benefit of the doubt. Nitrosend publishes this list, I co-founded it, and it is built for agencies running client email from an AI agent, so I am stating that interest rather than hiding it.
