Nitrosend vs Outfunnel.

Built for sending, agent-native, unlimited contacts, and one bill instead of two.

TL;DR

Outfunnel connects a CRM to a marketing tool. Contacts sync both ways, email engagement lands back on the CRM record, and web visits and lead scores show up where sales already works. Pipedrive, HubSpot, Copper, Salesforce, and Attio on one side; Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, MailerLite, Constant Contact, and GetResponse on the other. If the seam between those two is what's broken, it's a good product. It also sits in a different category from most of the tools in our comparison index, which is the first thing worth establishing.

It doesn't send. The campaign builder Outfunnel launched with is closed to new users, so a 2026 account still pays an email platform separately. Nitrosend specializes in email: campaigns, flows, segments, templates, and transactional sending on one platform, unlimited contacts on every plan including Free, and every capability an email API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen. What we're not is a CRM sync tool.

Pricing math

What you actually pay.

The two ladders don't share a meter. Outfunnel bills on active contacts synced and we bill on emails sent with contacts uncapped, so read the rows by scale rather than by rung. Outfunnel's price also sits on top of an email platform's bill rather than instead of it. Both columns are monthly, in USD. Outfunnel takes 16% off for annual billing, and its top tier is annual-only.

Migration

How to switch (or run both).

There's a fork here. If Outfunnel syncs your CRM into an ESP, the thing we replace is the ESP. A legacy account still sending sequences out of Outfunnel is a real migration, and every step below applies to it.

  1. Work out which half of the bill you're paying for: sync, legacy sending, or both. A new account only ever got the first, because the sending half takes no new users. The answer decides whether Outfunnel stays in the stack once we're in it.
  2. Add and verify your sending domain in Nitrosend. DKIM and SPF records sit alongside whatever sends for you today, so the platform you're leaving and the one you're arriving at can both send from the same domain for as long as the overlap lasts.
  3. Bring the contacts across. On a sync-only account they live in your CRM and in the connected marketing tool; on a legacy sending account the list you mail is inside Outfunnel itself. Export from whichever of those holds it and import with nitro_import_contacts. Synced fields map onto custom fields, and lists map onto lists.
  4. Rebuild the sends. Single emails and sequences become campaigns and flows with nitro_compose_flow, and the exit conditions you're used to have equivalents on this side: opened, clicked, and replied. Start with one low-stakes message and watch it for a week before a campaign follows.
  5. Decide what carries your reputation. BYO sending keys on Pro and above route mail through Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid, on the domain you already warmed. That's the step that makes the move reversible, and it's why a legacy Outfunnel sender doesn't have to change platform and transport on the same day.
Honest credit

What Outfunnel does well.

Outfunnel does one job and does it properly. The sync runs both ways, carries engagement back with it, and handles the edge cases that usually break one.

  • Two-way contact sync: the CRM and the marketing tool stay level with each other, rather than exported once and reconciled by hand.
  • Engagement written back onto the CRM record: sends, opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, and which link a contact clicked.
  • Write-back where sales already sits: Notes, Activities, or custom field updates, whichever shape the team actually reads.
  • Duplicates, archived contacts, and changed email addresses: handled automatically, which is the part of a sync that usually breaks.
  • Structure as well as people: Organization and Deal fields sync, not only Person fields, so CRM shape survives the trip.
  • Website visitor tracking on the contact record: pages viewed, time on site, and traffic source.
  • Lead scoring from engagement and web activity: written into the CRM as a field sales can sort on.
  • CRM coverage: HubSpot, Pipedrive, Copper, Salesforce, and Attio, with Pipedrive the one it documents most.
  • Lead capture with context attached: Facebook Lead Ads, LinkedIn Lead Ads, Calendly, Gravity Forms, and Contact Form 7.
  • Still shipping: two-way contact sync for Monday.com and GetResponse landed in February 2026.
What Nitrosend adds

Where we think we're better.

  • Nitrosend sends. Campaigns, flows, segments, templates, and transactional email are the product here, not a connector pointed at somebody else's.
  • Outfunnel's campaign builder is closed to new users, so a new account gets sync and tracking and keeps paying an email vendor.
  • One bill instead of two: a sync tool plus an email platform is two vendors, two ladders, and two renewal dates.
  • Contacts are unlimited on every plan including Free, where Outfunnel meters on active contacts synced.
  • A published price from 500,000 to over 4,000,000 emails a month, where a ladder usually turns into a sales call.
  • MCP-first is an architecture, not an integration: every capability is an API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen.
  • The difference shows at the edges: deliverability, billing, tests, and approvals are tools here, and they're the four that usually stop an automation dead.
  • BYO sending keys on Pro and above route your mail through Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid, on the domain and IP you already warmed.
  • Data and commerce integrations with Mailchimp, Attio, HubSpot, and Shopify, plus the REST API for whatever sits outside that list.
Use case fit

When to pick which.

Pick Outfunnel if

Your CRM is the system of record and you need marketing engagement written back onto it, especially on Pipedrive or Copper. You're staying on the email platform you already have, and the broken part is the seam between the two. You want lead scores and web visits sitting on the contact record where sales works, without asking anyone to open a second tool. None of those are close calls.

Pick Nitrosend if

Email is the channel your program runs on and you'd rather buy the platform than the glue between two of them. It's the right call if you signed up to Outfunnel expecting to send and found that half closed, or if you're a legacy sender sitting on a feature that takes no new users. Same answer if you want the whole stack to answer to an agent, including the billing, testing, and approval steps that usually send someone back to a dashboard. If the shortlist is really about sending rather than syncing, the useful next reads are Postmark on the transactional side and Resend on the developer side, plus QuickMail when cold outbound is part of the job.

FAQ

Outfunnel vs Nitrosend - common questions.

Does Outfunnel send email campaigns?

It did, and that half is closed to new users. The help center still documents single emails, sequences, merge fields, and reply tracking, all of it behind a notice reading "This functionality is discontinued for new users". So a signup today gets contact sync, engagement sync, web tracking, and lead scoring, and the sending stays wherever it already is: Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, Brevo, or whichever platform the sync points at.

Can Nitrosend replace Outfunnel?

Not one for one, and it's worth being clear about that first. Nitrosend replaces the email platform Outfunnel feeds, not the sync itself: campaigns, flows, segments, templates, and transactional sending live here, each of them an API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen, with contacts unlimited on every plan. If your reason for buying Outfunnel is engagement write-back into Pipedrive or Copper, you keep that or solve it another way. Where the reason was sending, this is a straight consolidation.

Does Nitrosend connect to my CRM?

It connects to Mailchimp, Attio, HubSpot, and Shopify. Everything else reaches us the same way every capability here does, through the REST API or the MCP server. Pipedrive, Copper, and Salesforce aren't first-party connectors here, so a stack built on one of those comes in that way or through the automation platform you already run. Nitrosend specializes in email, and the integrations exist to feed the sending rather than to run your CRM.

What does Outfunnel cost, and does the price include sending?

Outfunnel bills on active contacts synced: Basic from $29/mo at 100 contacts and $99 at 3,000, Professional from $99 rising to $249 at 15,000, and Scale from $299/mo above that, billed annually only. There's no free plan, only a 14-day trial. None of those rungs include sending, so an email platform's bill sits underneath every one of them.
