Nitrosend vs Systeme.io.

Built for email, agent-native end to end, unlimited contacts, one sending stack.

TL;DR

Systeme.io is an all-in-one business platform. Sales funnels, a website and blog, courses, communities, a checkout, an affiliate program, a booking calendar, and email sit on one bill, priced on the contacts you hold rather than the emails you send, with unlimited sending on every plan including Free. If you use more than the email half of that, the bundle is the argument, and it's a good one.

Nitrosend specializes in email. What it adds is the operating surface: every capability is an email API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen. Contacts are unlimited on every plan including Free, and BYO sending keys on Pro and above keep the transport where you want it. Systeme.io has shipped a real MCP server of its own. The difference is what each one reaches, and how much of the platform sits on the other side of it. The comparison index covers the specialists worth weighing against a bundle.

Pricing math

What you actually pay.

The two ladders are priced on different axes. Systeme.io charges for the contacts you hold and gives you unlimited sends; we charge for the sends and give you unlimited contacts. So which one is cheaper is a ratio question, and these four rows are where that ratio lands. Monthly billing, in USD.

Migration

How to switch (or run both).

Systeme.io keeps sending while you move, and nothing but the email is leaving it.

  1. Add and verify your sending domain in Nitrosend. DKIM and SPF records sit alongside Systeme.io's, so both platforms send from the same domain for as long as the overlap lasts.
  2. Decide what is actually moving. Funnels, courses, communities, the checkout, the booking calendar, and the affiliate program have no equivalent here and stay on Systeme.io. What moves is the mail.
  3. Bring the contacts across. Export them from Systeme.io, or read them through its public API with their tags and contact fields, then import with nitro_import_contacts. Tags map onto lists and segments, and contact fields map onto custom fields.
  4. Rebuild campaigns as flows with nitro_compose_flow, and keep Systeme.io's automation rules firing webhooks at Nitrosend through the overlap. CONTACT_TAG_ADDED and SALE_NEW carry most of a lifecycle between them.
  5. Decide what carries your reputation. BYO sending keys on Pro and above route mail through Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid. Systeme.io's own pool isn't a transport you can send from, so a sender leaving it is warming a new path whichever platform it lands on. What travels with you is the domain and its authentication history.
Honest credit

What Systeme.io does well.

Picking a tool is about fit. Here's what Systeme.io is genuinely good at.

  • A free plan a real business can start on: 2,000 contacts and unlimited emails, forever.
  • Unlimited sends on every plan, so the bill doesn't move when a campaign goes out twice a week.
  • At the top of the ladder, $97 buys unlimited contacts and unlimited sends, which is the cheaper shape for a large list mailed hard.
  • One bill for funnels, a website and blog, courses, communities, a booking calendar, CRM pipelines, and physical products.
  • First-party affiliate program management, included on every plan, where that is usually a second vendor.
  • Zero transaction fees on Stripe and PayPal.
  • A real MCP server that writes as well as reads: contacts, tags, newsletters, opt-in funnel steps, price plans, coupons, and automation rules.
  • Published connection guides for ChatGPT and Claude, so the agent surface is something a customer can turn on rather than build.
  • A public API that reaches most of the product, from contacts and tags through funnels, campaigns, and courses to bookings, subscriptions, and webhooks.
What Nitrosend adds

Where we think we're better.

  • Nitrosend specializes in email: one product, sender-side, with no funnel builder, course platform, or checkout competing for the same roadmap.
  • Unlimited contacts on every plan, including Free, so a list that grows without being mailed never moves the bill.
  • Transactional and campaigns run on the same platform, so receipts and password resets aren't a separate vendor bolted on beside the marketing sends.
  • MCP-first is an architecture, not an integration: every capability here is an API endpoint and an MCP tool before it's a screen.
  • Systeme.io's MCP is an initial release: contacts, tags, newsletters, opt-in funnel steps, price plans, coupons, and a narrow slice of automation rules.
  • Its automation rules reach three triggers and two actions through that server, so an agent there can tag a contact and not much else.
  • Its MCP server allows two keys at a time, each capped at 90 days, with no OAuth yet.
  • The difference shows at the edges: deliverability, billing, tests, and approvals are tools here, and they're the four that usually stop an automation dead.
  • BYO sending keys on Pro and above route your mail through Amazon SES, Resend, Postmark, Mailgun, or SendGrid, on the domain and IP you already warmed.
Use case fit

When to pick which.

Pick Systeme.io if

You sell courses or digital products and want the funnel, the checkout, the course delivery, the affiliate program, and the email on one bill under $100. It points the same way if your list is large and you mail it constantly, because unlimited sends at a flat rate is a real answer to that, or if you're starting out and 2,000 contacts free forever is the whole requirement. None of those are close calls.

Pick Nitrosend if

Email is the channel your business runs on and the storefront, course platform, or CMS you already have isn't going anywhere. It's the right call when receipts and campaigns should come off one platform, when your list is much larger than your send volume, or when you want the whole stack to answer to an agent end to end, including the deliverability, billing, testing, and approval steps that usually send someone back to a dashboard. Shortlists that start with a bundle often end up weighing Plunk, Zepic, and Woodpecker once the email half is separated out.

FAQ

Systeme.io vs Nitrosend - common questions.

Can Nitrosend replace Systeme.io?

For the email half, yes. Campaigns, flows, segments, templates, contacts, and transactional sending are all here, and transactional isn't a separate product with a separate bill. The funnels, courses, checkout, booking calendar, and affiliate program are Systeme.io's own products and stay there. So this is a split stack by design rather than a swap, and that's usually the right shape.

Is Nitrosend cheaper than Systeme.io?

It depends which axis you're on. Systeme.io prices the contacts you hold and gives unlimited sends: $17 for 5,000 contacts, $47 for 10,000, and $97 for unlimited. We price the sends and give unlimited contacts: $20 for 20,000 emails a month, $100 for 125,000. A big list mailed hard is cheaper there. A big list mailed selectively is cheaper here.

Systeme.io has an MCP server too. What's actually different?

Order of construction, and how far it reaches. Systeme.io built a platform, then an API, then exposed a slice of it as MCP tools, so an agent there can tag a contact but stops at three triggers and two actions. Every Nitrosend capability is an endpoint and a tool before it's a screen, so the operational edges answer to an agent too instead of sending it back to a dashboard.

Can I keep my funnels and courses on Systeme.io and still send with Nitrosend?

Yes, and most people moving this way should. Both platforms authenticate against the same domain with SPF and DKIM, so the funnel keeps converting while the mail moves one message type at a time. Systeme.io's webhooks, among them CONTACT_OPT_IN, CONTACT_TAG_ADDED, and SALE_NEW, can drive Nitrosend flows through the overlap, so nothing has to be cut over on a single day.
