The 5 best marketing agencies in Los Angeles in 2026

A marketing agency in Los Angeles is a firm you hire to run the work that brings a brand its customers: paid media, search, content, social, lifecycle email and the reporting that ties them together. The five best marketing agencies in Los Angeles are ranked below, scored out of 50 on AI automation, specialization, published evidence and a real team in the metro. Every AI claim links to its source.

VerifiedGeorge HartleyBy George Hartley, Co-founder·Updated

Marketing is expensive because most agencies still do the mechanical half by hand, and a retainer bills for those hours. I never wanted to run an agency myself, because you're only ever marking up some person's hours. In 2026 the job changed. Agents now build the campaign, segment the audience, draft the copy and stage the send, and the marketer is the director rather than the operator. The Los Angeles firms worth paying have handed the repetitive work to software and kept people on judgment. That is what I rank for below.

1. Wpromote

Michael Stone, Wpromote1

Wpromote

Michael Stone, Chief Strategy Officer, Wpromote

Best for
Large media budgets that want owned tooling
Location
101 Continental Blvd., Suite 150, El Segundo, with the Chief Strategy Officer in the Los Angeles metro
Platforms
Google Premier Partner, Microsoft Elite Partner, The Trade Desk Premier Partner
AI stack
Polaris IQ, Growth Planner
AI automation14/20
Specialization4/10
Evidence10/10
City presence9/10
Total37/50

The largest team on this list and the most engineering behind its AI claims. Polaris IQ blends SEO success metrics with real-time AI-driven traffic data, and Growth Planner, its media mix model, claims AI-powered budget allocation and forecasting at 95 percent accuracy, a figure Wpromote publishes about itself. The same page carries a Free Fly case study on the Polaris IQ Creative Accelerator.

The client work reaches into AI answers: Wpromote describes helping Southwest prepare for a future where more people turn to LLMs first to search and compare. My view is that LLMs grew the total market for search rather than splitting a fixed one. Chief Strategy Officer Michael Stone is in Los Angeles, the head office is in El Segundo, and it holds Google Premier Partner status. Its case-study counters render through JavaScript, so I printed none of them.

Take it when the budget is large enough that owned measurement software is worth paying for.

2. Single Grain

Eric Siu, Single Grain2

Single Grain

Eric Siu, CEO, Single Grain

Best for
AI agents installed inside a B2B stack
Location
No street address published; the CEO, an AI automation engineer and a creative strategist are in the Los Angeles metro
AI stack
Single Brain, Oracle, Cyborg
AI automation18/20
Specialization5/10
Evidence7/10
City presence6/10
Total36/50

The most automated firm in Los Angeles, and the most candid about it. Single Grain sells a managed AI agent team that runs inside Salesforce, Gong, GA4, HubSpot and Slack, each agent named by job, from Oracle for SEO reports and rank decay to Cyborg for candidate sourcing. Eugeniu Ghelbur, an AI automation engineer in Los Angeles, is building a production multi-agent fleet, and Eric Siu posts about the decision layer he is testing across the agent workflows.

In March 2026 the firm posted week three of its AI SDR experiment: 47 cold emails, 3 replies, 0 meetings and $0 pipeline. The biggest request I get at Nitrosend is AI outbound, because the existing tools are "spray and pray" and make brands "look terrible" A published zero beats a banner. Homepage AI-visibility values of $126,000 and $220,000 name no client, so I left them out.

Take it when you want agents installed in your stack and can live with a mostly remote team.

3. Emarketed

Matt Ramage, Emarketed3

Emarketed

Matt Ramage, Founder, Emarketed

Best for
SEO, AEO and custom agents for smaller businesses
Founded
1998
Location
160 Glendale Blvd in Echo Park, with the founder and the SEO manager in Los Angeles
AI stack
OpenClaw
AI automation14/20
Specialization5/10
Evidence7/10
City presence8/10
Total34/50

The smallest team here, showing the most of its own machinery. Founder Matt Ramage has run it since 1998, from 160 Glendale Blvd in Echo Park. Its agent service runs on OpenClaw, an open-source AI agent platform hosted on the client's own infrastructure, and the workflows are specific: agents that sort inbound leads by intent, draft first-touch replies for human review and flag hot leads, checked by people until the client trusts the output. In September Ramage presented how Emarketed uses OpenClaw agents in real client work at AI Agent Tech Talks in El Segundo.

The rule I hold is to give the agent real context and keep a human on the send button. The headline result is Hughes Auctions at 165 percent more AI mentions across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini in six months, its own measurement of visibility, not proof of automation.

Take it when you want a senior team you can visit that builds agents rather than talks about them.

4. Hawke Media

Randy Osborn, Hawke Media4

Hawke Media

Randy Osborn, VP, Hawke AI, Hawke Media

Best for
An outsourced marketing department for consumer brands
Location
No street address on the pages read; the founder and CEO is in Santa Monica and the EVP of Growth and the head of corporate development are in Los Angeles
AI stack
Hawke AI
AI automation12/20
Specialization3/10
Evidence9/10
City presence9/10
Total33/50

The deepest paid-media case history on this list, with an AI practice still being built on top. Randy Osborn is VP of Hawke AI, and Hawke's generative engine optimization team runs dozens of real buyer prompts against ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews to see which answers name a client. Lafaza's 104 percent increase in advertised sales came from AI-driven budget management and keyword targeting.

The rest is conventional performance work with numbers: K-Swiss at 900 percent ROAS on a one-day Ghostbusters sale, and nearly 700,000 impressions for Crocs from talent Icon Source found. Several headline figures on Hawke's case-study pages render as zero in the page HTML, so I left them out. Hawke AI itself is described only as an analytics platform. The founder is in Santa Monica and the growth lead in Los Angeles.

Take it for breadth and paid-media history, and treat the AI practice as new.

5. Brenton Way

Jonathan Saeidian, Brenton Way5

Brenton Way

Jonathan Saeidian, Founder and CEO, Brenton Way

Best for
AI workflow build-outs for $5M to $500M brands
Location
No verified staffed office; the founder and CEO and a senior strategist are in the Los Angeles metro
AI stack
Custom AI agents with human review gates
AI automation12/20
Specialization3/10
Evidence8/10
City presence6/10
Total29/50

Brenton Way sells AI marketing systems for companies scaling from $5M to $500M in revenue, and the method is specific: map each workflow, connect the data, deploy AI agents with human review gates, then train the client's team to run what it built. The proof is commercial rather than AI: Hannah Blount Jewelry at $160K a month in attributed ads revenue at a 7.4x average ROAS, and SmileSet generating $430K from 15M dormant email records reactivated from SmileDirectClub's estate.

Founder and CEO Jonathan Saeidian and senior strategist Yarden Segal are in the Los Angeles metro. Its IcarusX system is described only on the homepage, no AI role is verified, and no case study ties AI to a number.

Take it when you want the AI workflows handed over to your own team, not rented.

Also worth knowing

These Los Angeles firms were considered and are not ranked.

GR0 publishes AI-search case studies and hires a Director of SEO and AI Search, but the AI named in its delivery is third-party ad tooling, with no internal automation described.

HawkSEM has AI-platform results on its results page, and its ConversionIQ tool is described only in a blog listicle, with no workflow detail.

Absolute Web implements named third-party AI tools and ranks on my separate email marketing agency list for Los Angeles, but it is headquartered in Miami with one person in Los Angeles.

UMBRELLA has one real AI case, Forme at 119 percent more sign-up conversions from AI-powered predictions, and not enough AI beyond it.

Social House has an AI leader in Los Angeles, but the percentage and multiplier claims on its AI page name no client and no method.

Directive Consulting describes an AI intelligence platform generically and is in Orange County, not Los Angeles. Ignite Visibility has an AI platform and an autonomous lead responder, run from San Diego and Irvine. Tinuiti, Terra and DiscoverMyBusiness list Los Angeles without a team here. Iffel International does agent and AI cost-governance work from Anaheim Hills with no case studies. Lead Generation, Inc. has one line about AI playbooks and a fully remote team.

Top Growth Marketing offers AI-assisted workflows as an option and states no Los Angeles address or team. Coalition Technologies reports AI-search traffic lifts that are outcomes of SEO, not automation. Tack Media describes AI workflows only on service pages. LAv1 has an AI Turbo SEO page with no workflow, case or role. NinjaPromo has a boilerplate AI page and a team in Europe and New York.

Melleka Marketing describes its MyGenie reporting tool and has no case studies, ADvance Media runs its own automated follow-up CRM without AI in it, KlientBoost does not describe its Kite software as AI, Website Depot has AI SEO testimonials without numbers, and Infinity Media lists AI copywriting on a menu.

BRADIENT, Ignite Marketing (findignite.com), AIEO and COLAB Los Angeles publish no client work.

How to choose between them

If the budget is large and spread across channels, Wpromote is the only firm here that owns its measurement and forecasting software, and that matters most when you are allocating real money. If you want agents installed inside your own stack and you are a B2B or SaaS team, Single Grain has built the most, and it publishes its misses as well as its wins. If you want a senior team you can visit, building agents for a smaller business with a person approving every output, take Emarketed.

Hawke Media is the pick for a consumer brand that wants one outsourced marketing department with a long paid-media record, with AI as a newer layer. Brenton Way fits a growth-stage brand that wants its AI workflows handed over to its own team, not rented. Whichever you pick, growth is lumpy. One in three, one in four channel tests actually work, so judge the first quarter on what was learned, not on one number.

How this list is ranked

How this list is ranked

I score every marketing agency here on four criteria, for a total out of 50: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real Los Angeles team, each out of 10. Each card links the sources behind its score.

Nitrosend, which I co-founded, publishes this page. It is an email platform for agencies, not a marketing agency, and is not ranked.

FAQ

Wpromote, if you are picking one name with no other constraint, because it combines owned AI measurement software, the strongest published evidence on this list and a head office in El Segundo. From there the shortlist splits by what you need: Single Grain for AI agents run inside your own stack, Emarketed for a small senior team building agents with human review, Hawke Media for an outsourced consumer marketing department, and Brenton Way for AI workflows your own team will run.

The difference shows in what each one publishes. Wpromote puts a claimed accuracy figure on its media mix model. Single Grain names each agent by the job it does. Emarketed names the agent platform and the review step. Read those three pages and you will know which of them describes your problem.

Between $1,500 and $25,000 a month on retainer, with most published entry points at $1,500 to $5,000, full-service growth work starting around $10,000, and the bigger independents averaging above $20,000. None of the five ranked firms publishes a rate card, so this range comes from other Los Angeles firms that do.

The Los Angeles floors are public. IOI Solutions starts full-funnel performance marketing at $4,000 a month, SLT Consulting asks for a budget starting at $5,000 a month, and Tack Media lists retainers from $10K a month. HawkSEM's own SEO pricing guide puts fixed-rate SEO at $3,000 to $10,000 a month and local SEO at $500 to $1,000. Across the wider pool, Coast Digital publishes retainers starting at $1,500, $3,500 and $10,000 a month, BidWaves says most clients invest $1,500 to $20,000 a month, and NoGood says its average retainer is above $20,000 a month. DiscoverMyBusiness, which lists Los Angeles among its team locations, puts most monthly retainers at $2,000 to $25,000.

AI builds are priced separately. INSIDEA prices custom agent builds from $30K, multi-agent systems from $80K and managed AI operations at $5K to $25K a month. The Automators charge $7,000 for a one-time build plus $40 to $180 a month in model usage paid to the provider.

The number to check a quote against is the in-house cost, and Wpromote posts its pay ranges. A Paid Search Manager at $74,000 to $90,000 and a Manager of Paid Social at $70,000 to $85,000 come to roughly $5,800 to $7,500 a month in base salary for one channel. AI leadership costs more: Director of AI Solutions at $135,000 to $165,000 and Senior Director at $175,000 to $210,000. Those postings are remote US roles. Labor here is dearer than average: Los Angeles workers averaged $37.15 an hour in May 2025 against $33.54 nationally.

The ad spend, the software and the model usage. A retainer buys people and their hours, and the media budget sits on top: Top Growth Marketing sets a $5,000 a month ad-spend floor on top of its fee. Platform subscriptions are billed to you, and when an agency runs AI agents for you, the model bill is usually yours too, which is how The Automators price it.

The other line to watch is reporting. My view, from Bluethumb, is that the revenue Meta, Google and Klaviyo each attributed to themselves added up to about three times what the company actually sold. Ask any agency which numbers in its report are its own measurement and which are a platform's.

Look for one of four things: a named tool with a described function, a named workflow, a person with an AI or automation role on the team, or a case study that ties automation to a number. A banner is not evidence. I've seen about 100 of these AI CMO platforms, and the claims that hold up are the ones with a page describing what the software does.

Every AI point on this page links to one of those. Brenton Way describes AI agents with human review gates and governance controls. Hawke Media describes its prompt testing across four AI answer engines.

On four criteria, for a total out of 50: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real Los Angeles team, each out of 10. Every AI point links to its source.
