Marketing is expensive because most agencies still do the mechanical half by hand. I have always found setting up marketing flows by hand "a bit of a waste of time", and a retainer that bills for that work is paying people to do what software now does. The Seattle firms worth paying have handed the repetitive work to generative pipelines, CRM agents and voice agents, and kept people on judgment. That is what I rank for below.
1. WongDoody
1WongDoody
Tracy Wong, Chairman and Co-founder, WongDoody
- Best for
- Enterprise creative with AI imagery
- Location
- Seattle office at 1011 Western Ave, Suite 900, per its contact page; owned by Infosys
- AI stack
- Generative AI imagery pipeline (digital twins, CGI, generative AI)
The creative agency with the most enterprise engineering behind it. WongDoody is owned by Infosys, and its own case pages call it backed by the global tech firm. The AI case to read is Kärcher, where a hybrid workflow of digital twins, CGI and generative AI delivered fourteen brand-compliant images weeks before a traditional shoot would have been possible. I have written that it "feels like generative AI just crossed the uncanny valley", and product imagery is where that shows first.
For India's income-tax platform it built an AI chatbot, and refund processing fell from 63 days to 3. The Seattle office is at 1011 Western Ave, Suite 900, co-founder Tracy Wong is Chairman, and David Herrick is Senior Technical Director for creative workflows, AI and automation. Most published cases are European or Indian work, and the Kärcher page gives no hard time or cost figure.
Take it when you are a large brand that wants AI-assisted creative production with enterprise engineering behind it.
2. Sid Lee
Sid Lee
Jack Anderson, Chairman, Sid Lee
- Best for
- Creative with custom AI models
- Location
- Seattle is one of the offices on its contact page; no street address published
- AI stack
- Custom diffusion-model pipeline (IGA avatars)
The big-idea creative shop that trains its own generative models. For the grocer IGA it built a custom AI pipeline, training a diffusion model on IGA's visual archive to generate ten stadium-scale player avatars for Montreal Canadiens games, and its leadership includes a Global Chief AI and Transformation officer, Yanick Bédard. My view is that AI can strengthen creativity rather than undermine it, the way the camera freed artists to capture what had never been seen, and this is a creative agency making that bet.
The evidence outside AI is strong: Rock the Vote's Build the Vote reached 362M impressions with an 85% conversion rate. Seattle is one of seven offices on its contact page, listed with a Toronto phone number and no street address, and Chairman Jack Anderson is in the Seattle area. The IGA case publishes no business result.
Take it when the idea matters most and you want the AI production built in-house.
3. Growth Natives
3Growth Natives
Taran Nandha, Founder and CEO, Growth Natives
- Best for
- B2B marketing automation and CRM
- Location
- 2009 Killarney Way, Bellevue, per its website
- Platforms
- HubSpot (Platinum), Salesforce
- AI stack
- AI Center of Excellence sales-assist layer
The marketing automation and CRM specialist on this list, headquartered in Bellevue. It is a HubSpot Platinum partner and a Salesforce partner, and its AI Center of Excellence builds a sales-assist layer that qualifies leads, drafts follow-ups and keeps the CRM clean. My view is that HubSpot splitting Marketing Hub from Sales Hub shows that campaigns and one-to-one prospecting are different jobs, and Growth Natives builds for both sides of that split.
Its case studies report a 182% improvement in conversion velocity from lifecycle work and a 212% increase in sales-qualified conversions from a full-funnel program. The office is at 2009 Killarney Way in Bellevue, and founder and CEO Taran Nandha is in the Seattle area. Its AI layers carry no client result, and the Bellevue team is mostly leadership and sales.
Take it when the CRM is the bottleneck and you want AI working inside it.
4. New Engen
4New Engen
Justin Hayashi, Chief Executive Officer, New Engen
- Best for
- Performance media and measurement
- Location
- Seattle HQ per its contact page, with an office in Rogers, Arkansas and a studio in Manhattan Beach
- AI stack
- LIFT platform (LIFT AI), Metaplier, RippleAI
The most specialized firm here: performance media, creators and measurement, headquartered in Seattle. Client work runs through its own LIFT platform, where LIFT AI surfaces insights and recommendations so teams spend smarter and optimize faster, and its measurement practice names AI-powered tools in delivery, Metaplier and RippleAI. My view is that growth is lumpy and many marketing strategies do not perform as expected, which is the case for buying measurement before buying more media.
For Altra it cut customer acquisition cost by 44%. Its contact page lists the Seattle HQ alongside an office in Rogers, Arkansas and a studio in Manhattan Beach, and CEO Justin Hayashi is in the Seattle area. It publishes no result tied to the AI itself.
Take it when you spend enough on media that measuring it properly pays for itself.
5. Logic Inbound
5Logic Inbound
Vlad Mkrtumyan, CEO, Logic Inbound
- Best for
- Local SEO, ads and voice AI
- Location
- 4700 California Ave SW, West Seattle, per its contact page
- AI stack
- Voice AI agent (lead answering and qualification), AI-search attribution dashboards in Looker Studio
The West Seattle search and paid shop that builds voice AI for lead handling. For Chicago Home Tutor it built and trained a Voice AI agent that answers and pre-qualifies inquiries alongside a Google Local Services Ads campaign, and its AI optimization service reports AI exposure to visits, leads and revenue in Looker Studio dashboards. My view is that ranking well in AI comparisons is a priority, and it is one we set for ourselves.
A redesigned Meta campaign for Ski Monster drove purchases up 223%. It is the only ranked firm that prints its retainer tiers, from $5K to $30K a month. The office is at 4700 California Ave SW, and CEO Vlad Mkrtumyan is in Seattle. Its voice-agent case reports one converted lead.
Take it when you are a local business that wants search, ads and AI lead handling from one Seattle team.
6. Fingerprint Marketing
6Fingerprint Marketing
Pia Larson, Founder and Chief Imagination Officer, Fingerprint Marketing
- Best for
- Local small businesses: web, search and AI agents
- Location
- Based in Bellevue, with 3 staff located in the Seattle area on LinkedIn
A Bellevue agency for local small businesses, covering web design, SEO, paid ads and branding. It builds AI agents for them: outreach automation that books clients around the clock, waitlist management that fills last-minute cancellations, appointment reminders by text or call, and an onboarding chatbot. It also offers a free AI-powered Google and AI search visibility audit. It publishes no client result for its agents.
Its published results are search and ads: Four Keys Charters reached 5.46x ROAS, and a site rebuild for JKA Well Drilling lifted organic traffic 20%. 3 of its staff are in the Seattle area on LinkedIn, including founder Pia Larson, and it also lists Sarasota, Florida.
The pick for a local service business that wants its website, search and booking automation from one small team.
7. lilAgents
7lilAgents
David V. Kimball, Co-Founder and CEO, lilAgents
- Best for
- Flat-fee growth team for small companies
- Location
- Founded in Seattle, with 3 staff located in the Seattle-Tacoma area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- AgentGrade
Founded in Seattle in 2025, lilAgents sells a flat-fee growth department covering marketing, design, development, outbound and operations. For Firehouse Lawyer it used AI to summarize and organize 1,500+ archived newsletters into an indexed, searchable database on the firm's site. Its AI SEO service points clients to AgentGrade, a free tool that grades how well AI agents and answer engines can read and cite a site, and it cleans up apps started in vibe-coding tools such as Replit and Lovable.
For Naches RV Resort it rebuilt conversion tracking and the Google and YouTube ads, cutting cost per acquisition by about 70%. 3 of its staff are in the Seattle-Tacoma area on LinkedIn, including co-founder and CEO David V. Kimball and co-founder Dylan Baker.
The pick for a small company that wants one flat-fee team for its site, search and outbound.
Also worth knowing
These firms were considered and are not ranked.
Several have real AI and too small a team in the Seattle area. GrowthHit sells AI systems for ecommerce and prints no street address. Jives Media lists Seattle only as a location page. Terra is headquartered in New York, and its Seattle page gives no address. LinkGraph is a New York SEO firm with a Seattle location page and no team here. Nirvana is a studio in British Columbia that lists Seattle only in its job postings. EnlightWorks is headquartered in Benicia, California, Thrive in Arlington, Texas, and Olive Group in Manhattan Beach, with a Tacoma office.
Some print addresses that are not offices. SEO.co, PPC.co and Audience Bloom share one mailbox, 1425 Broadway Suite 22689. Exo Agency and Digital Advertising Team share a box-number suite at 800 5th Ave. Stive and ICODA print the same Bellevue apartment. Sayenko Design lists a coworking address in Redmond, and Seattle PPC Agency shares a coworking address with another SEO firm. Local View and Law Firm Leap name no clients and publish no case studies.
Others had AI claims that did not hold up. Fannit has a real Seattle team serving home-service contractors, but its only AI in delivery is AI-drafted review replies. Actuate Media, Add3, Bizango, Integrity Marketing Services, Kihan Marketing, Marketeering Group, Segment and Lodestar sell AI search as a service line, not automation in delivery. DoodleWeb describes LLM-assisted drafting with no AI-tied client result, Connection Model names no clients or case studies, and efelle creative makes no AI claim. portent.com's services page now serves Wallaroo Media's pages.
Software, IT, consulting, staffing and other firms that surface in Seattle marketing searches are not marketing agencies and are not assessed here.
How to choose between them
If you are a large brand that wants AI-assisted creative production with enterprise engineering behind it, start with WongDoody. If the idea matters more than the machinery, and you want the AI production built in-house, Sid Lee. B2B companies whose CRM is the bottleneck should talk to Growth Natives, and consumer brands spending enough on media that measuring it properly pays for itself should talk to New Engen. Local and small businesses that want search, ads and a voice agent answering the phone should look at Logic Inbound. A local service business that wants booking and reminder agents with its website should talk to Fingerprint Marketing, and a small company that wants one flat-fee team for its site, search and outbound has lilAgents.
My advice is to pick the one channel that matters most before you pick the agency. I believe a "concentrated volume of content and ads on one channel" has a better chance of working than four programs at once, and every firm above is strongest at one thing.
How this list is ranked
How this list is ranked
I score every marketing agency here on four criteria, for a total out of 50: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real Seattle team, each out of 10. Each card links the sources behind its score.
Nitrosend, which I co-founded, publishes this page. It is an email platform for agencies, not a marketing agency, and is not ranked.
FAQ
WongDoody, if you are picking one name with no other constraint, because it pairs the strongest evidence on this list with a working generative-AI production pipeline and a staffed office on Western Avenue. From there the shortlist splits by need: Sid Lee for big-idea creative, Growth Natives for CRM and marketing automation, New Engen for performance media and measurement, Logic Inbound for local search and ads, and Fingerprint Marketing and lilAgents for small businesses.
The difference shows in what each one publishes. WongDoody ties its AI imagery workflow to a delivery date. Growth Natives describes the AI layer it builds inside a CRM. New Engen names the AI inside its own platform. Read those three pages and you will know which of them describes your problem.
Between $750 and $30,000 a month on retainer. Logic Inbound publishes two retainer tiers, $5K to $10K a month and $10K to $30K a month, the only rate card among the seven ranked firms.
The rest of the range comes from other Seattle-area firms that print prices. Actuate Media's SEO, GEO and AIO plans start flat at $1,299 a month, with ad management at 20% of spend or a flat retainer. Integrity Marketing Services in Kirkland starts Google Ads management at $750 a month on a three-month initial term. Kihan Marketing sells growth packages at $3,000 a month and website design at $5,000. DoodleWeb starts AI search optimization at $3,500 a month, and builds marketing sites for a $12K to $25K fixed fee and CMS rebuilds for $25K to $80K.
The number to check a quote against is the in-house cost. New Engen's posting for a Senior Manager, Paid Search in Seattle pays $95,000 to $115,000, and its Manager, Media Strategy pays $80,000 to $90,000. Walker Sands, which has a Seattle office, posts a Senior Copywriter at $72,500 to $75,000. Those salaries are before benefits, tools and management time.
The ad spend, and often the software. A retainer buys people and their hours, and the media budget sits on top: Actuate Media charges ad management at 20% of spend, and a website build is a separate fixed fee at most firms that print one. AI work adds its own lines, because a voice agent or a CRM agent is a build plus a monthly fee, and model usage is billed to someone.
Ask who owns the accounts. My view is that a company should run retargeting from its own Meta and Google Ads accounts, not an agency's, and the same goes for the analytics property and the email platform, so the history stays with you if the agency changes.
Look for one of four things: a named tool with a described function, a named workflow, a person with an AI or automation role on the team, or a case study that ties automation to a number. A banner is not evidence.
Every AI point on this page links to one of those. Sid Lee describes the diffusion model it trained. Logic Inbound names the voice agent it built for one client.
On four criteria: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real Seattle-area team, each out of 10, for a total out of 50. Each card links the sources behind its score.
