The metro here is Maricopa County: Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale and Peoria. All six ranked firms put AI into client work, and none of them publishes a result tied to that AI. My standard for software is "AI-native from day one, not bolted-on AI," and I hold agencies to the same one.

Its GEO service runs on Barracuda, an in-house AI platform that scores page content against 14 ranking factors, and its homepage says it uses AI to cut the time it takes to build paid media campaigns and creative. What it documents is optimization for AI search, not automation with a number.
MoneyGeek's clicks rose 74.8%, from 67.5K to 118K, after Go Fish restructured the site for search and AI visibility, and EZ Bombs reached 30x ROAS in its first 90 days of TikTok Shop ads. The pick for a small business that wants one senior team for its website and search.
Also worth knowing
These firms were researched and not ranked, each for the reason given.
AI in the work, but one or two people in Phoenix. Igility builds on LangChain, LangGraph and MCP servers and names Sonos and Microsoft as clients, with 1 person in the metro, its CEO. marketFX builds custom GPTs on client data, with 2. Wise Roots sells an AI receptionist and a $7,500 AI Operations Audit, with 1. Constant Concepts builds voice agents on LiveKit and Gemini, with none on LinkedIn and one person named on its site. The Valley Marketing Group sells AI agents for ad lead follow-up, Google Ads and SEO content and names 2 people. RISE Marketing sells its own CRM with a voice AI agent and names one person.
No independent firm left. The Vertical Measures and ZOG Digital domains now serve IDX's site. Rule29 is owned by O'Neil Printing, and its AI page is a service menu with no client work.
Not a real business behind the site. Alliance Creative (acgx.ai) ranks for "ai marketing agency phoenix" with a Chicago address and stock template names for its team. Exaalgia prints template placeholder addresses, among them "1446 Vorwuw Parkway". RankMind names no person, client or street address.
LinkGraph is based in New York, and its Phoenix page has no address and no Phoenix staff. Software, IT, consulting, staffing and other firms that surface in Phoenix marketing searches are not marketing agencies and are not assessed here.
No team in Phoenix. How to choose between them
A B2B company that wants AI prospecting feeding its sales team, and marketing and sales run as one system, should start with StringCan Interactive. An HVAC, plumbing or electrical contractor has Rocket Media, the most specialized firm here and the one building AI into call handling and operations. A mid-market or enterprise brand that wants GEO, SEO and paid media from one agency has Go Fish Digital. A brand that wants a full-service Tempe agency with data scientists who can build predictive models has Zion & Zion. A B2B technology company that wants account-based marketing run from Phoenix should talk to KEO Marketing, and a small business that needs a website and local search from one small team has OlivSEO.
As I have written, "the marketer's job moved from operator to director." Ask each firm which steps its software runs and which its people run. My rule for my own agents applies to an agency too: "give the agent real context instead of clever prompts, and keep a human on the send button."
How this list is ranked
How this list is ranked
I score every marketing agency here on four criteria, for a total out of 50: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real Phoenix team, each out of 10. Each card links the sources behind its score.
Nitrosend, which I co-founded, publishes this page. It is an email platform for agencies, not a marketing agency, and is not ranked.
The Phoenix metro on this page is Maricopa County: Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria and the cities around them. Tucson and Flagstaff are not counted.
FAQ
StringCan Interactive, a Scottsdale B2B agency with AI in its client delivery: AI-driven LinkedIn, email and voice-email sequences and machine-learning prospect sourcing for Phoenix Display International. Rocket Media is second, with AI tools for home-service call centers, and Go Fish Digital third, with some of the strongest published results of the six, including a 74.8% rise in MoneyGeek's clicks.
Published Phoenix-area packages run from $500 a month for a few agency hours to $5,245 a month for bundled ads, SEO and social, before ad spend, and DMD Digital says most Scottsdale businesses pay $1,500 to $8,000 a month. None of the six ranked firms publishes a marketing retainer price.
Wise Roots charges $1,500 a month for Google Ads management, $3,000 with local SEO, content and an attribution dashboard, from $5,000 for multi-location work and custom AI systems, and $7,500 for a four-week AI Operations Audit. DMD Digital's Scottsdale packages are $2,245, $3,745 and $5,245 a month. Widely Interactive puts foundational local SEO at $1,500 to $2,500 a month, Mbeth Design sells up to 12 agency hours a month for $500 to $1,000, and The Stewards Ink starts marketing at $1,000 a month and websites at $2,000. Digital Sunrise charges from $750 a month for a social content shoot and $1,250 a month for unlimited graphic design.
Job postings show what the people cost. Elevation Marketing lists a remote Sr. Web Developer & SEO Specialist role in Gilbert at $85,000 to $110,000, and Acceleration Partners pays an affiliate Account Specialist, with Phoenix among its locations, $55,000 to $60,000. Hiring in-house costs more at the top: Home Brands Group's Phoenix Marketing Director posting runs $110,000 to $175,000, and Gusto pays a Scottsdale Senior Performance Marketing Manager $108,570 to $133,000.
The Phoenix firms that build AI agents for clients are small. Igility builds on LangChain, LangGraph and MCP servers, The Valley Marketing Group runs an AI agent for ad lead follow-up among others for Google Ads bidding and SEO content, and Constant Concepts builds voice agents on LiveKit and Gemini. Each is a team of one or two named people. Among the six ranked firms, StringCan's automated prospecting sequences and Rocket Media's AI Labs are the closest to agent work.
Look for a named tool with a described function, a named workflow, a person with an AI role, or a case study that ties automation to a number. Much of what Phoenix agencies sell as AI is AI search visibility, which is a marketing channel, not automation of your work. I treat it that way for my own company: "we want LLMs to index us properly so that they understand our feature set." That is SEO work, and it does not run a single campaign step for you.
Of the six ranked firms, Go Fish's Barracuda platform is AI-search tooling, while Zion & Zion's Vertex AI churn model and StringCan's prospect sourcing are models built into delivery.
