Marketing is expensive because most agencies still do the mechanical half by hand. My view is that smaller businesses should get the machine learning and automations the largest retailers run, set up as easily as a plugin, and the San Diego firms worth paying are the ones delivering that. They have handed the repetitive work to an AI system that monitors every campaign in real time, an autonomous lead responder and voice AI receptionists, and kept people on judgment. That is what I rank for below.
1. Seer Interactive
1Seer Interactive
Francis Shovlin, Account Director, Client Engagement, Seer Interactive
- Best for
- AI search and SEO with published AI builds
- Location
- No San Diego office on its site; 8 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- SCAI (in-house), AI Interview System (in-house), Analytics AI-Assistant (in-house)
The AI search and SEO agency that documents its AI systems in the most detail. Seer credits its own AI content model, SCAI, with cutting a Fortune 50 company's content production time by 50%, and an AI-assisted content process turned five articles into $95,700 in estimated revenue. Its AI practice page describes an AI Interview System whose agents research a client's site and interview its subject-matter experts, and an Analytics AI-Assistant that answers plain-language questions over Google Analytics data in BigQuery.
Outside AI, Latham Pool's lead rate rose 122% year over year. Seer states no San Diego office, and 8 of its staff are in the San Diego area, including Account Director Francis Shovlin. The 50% content result does not name the client.
Take it when you want an agency that documents the AI it uses on client work.
2. Power Digital
2Power Digital
Bryce Hamlin, Vice President, Data Intelligence, Power Digital
- Best for
- Consumer growth on an in-house AI system
- Location
- 9605 Scranton Rd, Suite 700, San Diego (headquarters), with 179 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- Omega, Iris, nova Intelligence
The largest San Diego-headquartered firm on this list, and it runs client accounts on its own AI system. Omega, which Power Digital calls its AI Growth Operating System, monitors every campaign in real time and executes approved actions, and its Creative Affinity creative-intelligence tool runs on the nova Intelligence platform. My view is that re-engaging people who have already bought from you is worth more than chasing new customers, because they are easier to bring back.
That is where its best work sits. Victrola more than doubled its online revenue in a single year, and its repeat purchase rate rose 26%. The headquarters is at 9605 Scranton Rd, Suite 700, with 179 staff in the San Diego area, including Chief Strategy Officer Ben Dutter. The services menu is broad, and no published result is tied to Omega itself.
Take it when you are a consumer brand that wants scale and a San Diego headquarters.
3. Siege Media
3Siege Media
Sarah Pfledderer, Senior Director of Client Services, Siege Media
- Best for
- Content-led SEO and GEO
- Location
- Founded in San Diego, now remote with hubs in Austin, New York, Chicago and San Francisco; 16 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- BlueprintIQ (in-house)
The content and SEO specialist, founded in San Diego. Its BlueprintIQ engine analyzes competitors, the client's site and hundreds of topics to build a content roadmap, and Siege says it uses AI "to speed up the commoditized parts of the content creation process, not to replace the most important ones". My view is that SEO-driven content writing mostly fills the internet with average, mediocre nothingness, and I hope LLM search makes it go away. Automating the research and keeping people on the writing is the right answer.
Siege is now a remote company with hubs in Austin, New York, Chicago and San Francisco, with no San Diego office. Sixteen of its staff are in the San Diego area, including Senior Director of Client Services Sarah Pfledderer and Senior Director of Content Marketing Stacy Walden. It publishes no number tied to its AI.
Take it when content is the channel and you want the roadmap built with AI and written by people.
4. NP Digital
NP Digital
Traci Rice, SVP Operations, NP Digital
- Best for
- SEO, paid and AI search at scale
- Location
- 750 B St, Suite 1400, San Diego, with 30 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- Custom AI agents (in-house), AI Writer (in-house)
Neil Patel's agency, with a staffed office downtown. NP Digital builds custom AI agents that find missed opportunities and produce content in an automated, scalable way, and its team writes search-optimized copy with an in-house AI Writer. Its AI search number is large: an unnamed fintech provider's referral traffic from LLMs rose 994%.
The channel results are strong too. Claire's category search traffic rose 329% from SEO and content, and Mann Lake Bee & Ag Supply's sales rose 87% on work it credits to best practices, AI and machine learning, and Contentful's lead volume rose 159% from paid media. The office is at 750 B St, Suite 1400, with 30 staff in the San Diego area, including SVP Operations Traci Rice. The services menu is very broad, and the LLM traffic result names no client.
Take it when you want scale and a staffed downtown San Diego office.
5. BOL
BOL
Thad Kahlow, CEO, BOL
- Best for
- B2B ABM, SEO and GEO
- Location
- 845 15th Street, Suite 103, San Diego, with 13 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- Search agents for category monitoring
The B2B specialist, formerly BusinessOnLine, with a Chief AI Officer on its team page. Its GEO practice runs daily competitor monitoring and search agents that surface category movements, and the team page lists that Chief AI Officer alongside a Senior Director of SEO + AI Strategy. It works for enterprise technology brands, and the numbers show it.
SOLIDWORKS clicks rose 339% on a non-branded keyword strategy, Workday's sales-accepted leads rose 88%, and ABM orchestration with 6sense influenced 75% of Lytx's opportunities. The office is at 845 15th Street, Suite 103 with 13 staff in the San Diego area, led by CEO Thad Kahlow with Trevor Hanes running finance and HR. Its AI work is described in detail but carries no published result.
Take it when you sell B2B technology and want ABM and GEO from one local team.
6. Ignite Visibility
Ignite Visibility
John Lincoln, Co-Founder & Executive Chairman, Ignite Visibility
- Best for
- Multi-location lead response and content
- Location
- 4370 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite 320, San Diego (headquarters), with 44 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- Amplify AI Suite, Autonomous lead responder
The San Diego full-service agency built for multi-location brands. It sells a 24/7 autonomous lead responder that answers form and chat inquiries in under 60 seconds across SMS, email and voice, and an Amplify AI Suite of Voice, Studio and Blueprint tools for localized content at scale. We wrote on Nitrosend's own site that "agents are already better at email than people", because they read every message and never miss a follow-up, and a lead responder makes the same bet.
For an unnamed home-services franchise across 90+ locations, leads rose 72.7% and cost per lead fell 8%, and an unnamed automotive franchise's AI mentions grew from 24.7% to 30.9%. The headquarters is at 4370 La Jolla Village Drive, Suite 320, with 44 staff in the San Diego area, including co-founder and Executive Chairman John Lincoln. Neither result names the client.
Take it when you run many locations and slow lead response is costing you.
7. iLawyer Marketing
iLawyer Marketing
Brian DeBelle, Vice President of Product, iLawyer Marketing
- Best for
- Law firm SEO and AEO
- Location
- 10080 Carroll Canyon Rd, Suite B, San Diego, with 16 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- LLM citation tracking, Query fan-out mapping
The law-firm specialist, focused on personal injury. Its answer-engine workflow tracks LLM citations, maps query fan-outs across AI platforms and adds structured data and third-party placements, and on the same page an unnamed personal injury firm in a tier-1 market grew AI referral traffic 139%, while a Midwest personal injury firm grew organic leads 608%. After one onboarding call I wrote that "a user said she asked ChatGPT who to use, and it recommended us", and injured people now ask the same question about lawyers.
The office is at 10080 Carroll Canyon Rd, Suite B, with 16 staff in the San Diego area, including VP of Product Brian DeBelle and Creative Director Jennifer Aquino. Its proprietary AI software tools are not described, and the AI referral result names no firm.
Take it when you are a law firm and want to show up in AI answers.
8. DEPT
8DEPT
Jenna Gardner, Director, Applied AI, Media, DEPT
- Best for
- AI builds with marketing
- Location
- San Diego team of 66 on LinkedIn; one of many offices in a global network
- AI stack
- Agentic Engineering
The global agency on this list that builds AI products as well as campaigns. For NVIDIA it built Signs, an AI-powered platform for learning sign language, and it sells Agentic Engineering, where specialist agents support the full software lifecycle while engineers direct the work. 3Q Digital merged into DEPT, and its old domain now serves DEPT's site.
DEPT has 66 staff in the San Diego area, including Jenna Gardner, Director of Applied AI for media, Senior Director and Client Partner Scott Trevellyan and Associate Director of Programmatic Ad Ops Jamie Gungler. San Diego is one office of a global network, and its AI cases are product builds rather than marketing results with numbers. Take it when the brief is an AI build as much as a campaign.
Take it when the brief is an AI build as much as a campaign.
9. Fifty and Fifty
Fifty and Fifty
Javan Van Gronigen, Founder & Creative Director, Fifty and Fifty
- Best for
- Nonprofit brand, web and campaigns
- Founded
- 2009
- Team size
- 11-20
- Location
- Based in San Diego, per its site; no street address published; 3 staff located in San Diego County on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- Agentic build and support workflows
Fifty and Fifty is a San Diego agency for nonprofits and social enterprises that rebuilt its own delivery around AI. Its twenty-person team became a three-to-four-person team running agentic work: prompts, scripts and documented processes. The same page says AI now triages support requests, spots issues on live campaign pages and stands up new campaign pages from a concept. No number is tied to that work.
Its published results are campaign results: VolunteerMatch reached 870 leads a month and 59,000 organic sessions a month, 8x its goal. It was founded in 2009 in San Diego and has 11 to 20 employees. It prints no street address, and 3 of its staff are in San Diego County on LinkedIn, including founder and creative director Javan Van Gronigen.
The pick for a nonprofit that wants a small senior team with AI doing the build and QA work.
10. Tinuiti
Tinuiti
Jen Cornwell, Sr. Director of AI SEO & Innovation, Tinuiti
- Best for
- Paid and commerce media with AI copy
- Location
- Headquartered in New York with a distributed US team; 83 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- AdCopy AI (with Bliss Point)
The performance and commerce media agency with an ad-copy model trained on each client's data. AdCopy AI, powered by Bliss Point, learns from a brand's data to generate thousands of precise, on-brand ad components, and its approach page says AI-assisted planning speeds research, synthesis and scenario development while keeping human strategic judgment. I have said Bluethumb's content team "tests multiple new creative assets almost every day, or certainly every week, to find what works", and a model that writes variants is how a paid team keeps that pace.
Hourglass credits $1M in global expansion to its AI search strategy. Tinuiti is headquartered in New York with a distributed US team and states no San Diego office, and 83 of its staff are in the San Diego area, including Jen Cornwell, Senior Director of AI SEO and Innovation. CPC Strategy's old domain now serves Tinuiti.
Take it when your paid budget is large enough that ad variation volume is the bottleneck.
11. Mindgruve
Mindgruve
Chad Robley, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Mindgruve
- Best for
- Data science with full-service marketing
- Location
- 627 8th Avenue, San Diego (headquarters), with 75 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- Sightline (in-house)
The San Diego-headquartered agency with its own data-science team. Sightline, its AI predictive marketing and business-intelligence platform, is powered by a fully proprietary technology stack and backed by an expert data science team, and the technology page lists Sightline as its AI predictive marketing platform. My view is that the data that predicts a purchase is behavior: past purchases, add-to-cart events, product clicks and time on product pages. A firm that models those signals in-house is doing the right work.
The headquarters is at 627 8th Avenue, with 75 staff in the San Diego area, including Chairman and CEO Chad Robley and SVP of Global Media Ellyn Savage. It is full-service, and it publishes no result tied to Sightline. Take it when you want predictive modeling from a local team.
Take it when you want a predictive model built by a local data-science team.
12. Green Flag Digital
Green Flag Digital
Joe Robison, Founder, Consultant, Green Flag Digital
- Best for
- Digital PR and content for B2B SaaS
- Location
- Headquartered in Los Angeles; no San Diego address published; 3 staff located in San Diego County on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- AI content analysis pipelines
Green Flag Digital runs digital PR and content for B2B SaaS and internet-first companies, and uses AI agents and AI-connected tools to crawl and analyze a client's content across paid, earned, shared and owned properties, building content analysis pipelines that combine data, AI agentic workflows and frontier models. For AI search it tracks mention rate, citation rate, share of answers and recommendation position across ChatGPT, Google, Gemini and Perplexity. No number is tied to the AI work.
Its numbers are digital PR: moveBuddha earned 3,740 referring domains from five years of campaigns. Its services page says it is based in Los Angeles, and 3 of its staff are in San Diego County on LinkedIn, including founder Joe Robison.
Take it when you need digital PR and want AI doing the analysis behind it.
13. Automated Practice
Automated Practice
Zachary Herman, Owner, Automated Practice
- Best for
- Clinics that miss calls
- Location
- 9815 Carroll Canyon Rd, Suite 202, San Diego
- AI stack
- AI receptionist (chat), Voice AI receptionist
The patient-acquisition agency for chiropractors, SoftWave clinics and med spas, and it installs AI on the front desk. Its AI receptionist replies to inquiries in seconds, answers common questions and books appointments, and its voice AI receptionist answers phones day and night and books appointments. For a clinic, a missed call after hours is a lost patient, and this is the fix.
The results are revenue. Dr. Dustin Judd went from $40K a month to $111K in month one, and NexGen SoftWave collected $85,483 in 5 months. The office is at 9815 Carroll Canyon Rd, Suite 202, and owner Zachary Herman runs a small team. Neither result is tied to the AI receptionist. Take it when you run a clinic and unanswered calls cost you patients.
Take it when you run a clinic and unanswered calls are lost patients.
14. Digitopia
Digitopia
Joe Freeman, Chief Executive Officer, Digitopia
- Best for
- B2B HubSpot, RevOps and AEO
- Location
- 2011 Palomar Airport Rd, Suite 101, Carlsbad
- AI stack
- AI visibility tool, AI-powered HubSpot reporting
The Carlsbad HubSpot and RevOps agency for B2B companies. Its AI visibility tool runs a client's site through ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity models, and it builds custom, AI-powered HubSpot reports and dashboards. My view is that a business has to be easy to find, and connect to, from an AI agent, and a tool that shows what those agents see is where that work starts.
The evidence is on its AI search page: Okteto's conversions rose 441% in the first 6 months, and Pursell Farms grew marketing-generated revenue 210% year over year. The office is at 2011 Palomar Airport Rd, Suite 101, in Carlsbad, led by CEO Joe Freeman and VP of Operations Charlotte Andrade. Its AI work carries no result of its own.
Take it when you run on HubSpot and want RevOps and AI search from one team.
15. SEO Inc
SEO Inc
Edward Andrews, Chief Development Officer, SEO Inc
- Best for
- Long-running SEO with an MCP setup
- Location
- Carlsbad, California; no street address published
- AI stack
- MCP server for client data
The Carlsbad SEO firm that connects a client's data to AI assistants. It sets up an MCP server that gives compatible AI tools controlled access to a client's approved data, source URLs and FAQs. Nitrosend runs on MCP too, which I have described as "an open standard designed for connecting AI tools to external services", and an agency that hands assistants approved facts rather than hoping they scrape the right page is ahead of most.
The SEO record is long. Entrepreneur Magazine grew from 2 million to 7 million monthly visits in 8 months, and TIBCO's conversion rate rose from 5.30% to 10.45%. SEO Inc names Carlsbad but prints no street address, and its team includes Chief Development Officer Edward Andrews and project manager Deanna Tesoriero. The MCP setup is its one described AI workflow.
Take it when you want your approved data exposed to AI assistants on your terms.
16. 2POINT
2POINT
Jon Dubensky, Founder & CEO, 2POINT
- Best for
- Full-service growth with an SEO bot
- Founded
- 2006
- Location
- Headquartered in San Diego, per its site; 4 staff located in the San Diego metro on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- AIObot
2POINT is a San Diego full-service agency with its own AI-powered marketing product, AIObot. For Rayne Water it paired AI Overview targeting with an SEO bot, and the bot grew tracked keywords 30% and traffic 60% in its first month. Its cold email for InfinixBio uses an AI engine to identify decision-makers, and the client closed a deal that covered its investment three times over.
It also runs paid media, websites and social: Coronado Brewing reached 6.28 ROAS and sales lifts up to 33%. It was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in San Diego, and 4 of its staff are in the San Diego area on LinkedIn, including founder and CEO Jon Dubensky.
Take it when you want one local team for search, ads and outbound, with a bot doing part of the SEO.
17. Go Fish Digital
Go Fish Digital
Jennifer Bentcik, Group Account Director, Go Fish Digital
- Best for
- GEO, SEO and paid
- Location
- 10620 Treena St, Suite 160, San Diego (headquarters in Raleigh)
- AI stack
- Proprietary ecommerce SEO tools
The GEO and SEO agency with a staffed San Diego office. Its SEO audits include AI visibility insights from its proprietary ecommerce SEO tools, and its team page describes co-founder Dan Hinckley as a former Chief Product & AI Officer. The published results are among the strongest here: SimpleTexting's organic SQLs rose 500% year over year, and Ruffwear's page-one keyword rankings rose 230%.
Go Fish is headquartered in Raleigh, and its San Diego office is at 10620 Treena St, Suite 160, with 8 staff in the San Diego area, including Group Account Director Jennifer Bentcik. Its AI is audit tooling rather than automation in delivery, so buy it for the audits, the GEO work and the paid and creative channels around them.
Take it when you want GEO and SEO audits from a firm with a San Diego office.
18. Intero Digital
Intero Digital
Mike Tretinjak, EVP Growth and Strategy, Board Member, Intero Digital
- Best for
- Ecommerce, Amazon and GEO
- Location
- 16855 W Bernardo Dr, Suite 116, San Diego (headquarters in Colorado Springs), with 19 staff in the San Diego area on LinkedIn
- AI stack
- InteroBOT, AI inventory forecasting
The large SEO, Amazon and GEO agency with a San Diego office. It runs InteroBOT, patented predictive crawl technology, and its Amazon vendor services include AI-driven inventory forecasting. For ecommerce brands, the results are the case: Freshpet's presence in Google AI Overviews rose 645%, and Sticker Mountain's ecommerce sales rose 305%.
Intero is headquartered in Colorado Springs, and its San Diego office is at 16855 W Bernardo Dr, Suite 116, with 19 staff in the area, including EVP of Growth and Strategy Mike Tretinjak. It is full-service, and its AI claims are proprietary tooling and forecasting rather than a described workflow with a number. Take it when you sell on Amazon and want search, Amazon and AI Overviews covered by one team.
Take it when you sell on Amazon and want search and AI Overviews covered too.
19. Suner & Garcia
Suner & Garcia
Abraham Garcia, Managing Partner, Suner & Garcia
- Best for
- Websites plus custom AI agents
- Location
- 3930 Oregon St, Suite 202, San Diego
- AI stack
- Custom AI agents
The small San Diego web and AI studio that builds custom AI agents. For an unnamed global digital platform, its AI agents resolve 70%+ of inquiries automatically, and for an international recruitment company it built agents that screen resumes and schedule interviews. It also designs and develops AI and machine-learning models for clients.
The office is at 3930 Oregon St, Suite 202, run by Managing Partner Abraham Garcia. It is the smallest firm on this list. The team is very small, its AI results name no client, and several of its AI pages cover IT operations rather than marketing. Take it for a website and an AI agent built together by a local team, not for a media program.
Take it when you want a local team to build a website and an AI agent together.
Also worth knowing
These firms were considered and are not ranked.
Several have real AI and too small a team in the San Diego area. Nimbletoad in Carlsbad built an AI-citation tracker and has a very small local team. Click Track, Digital Anchor, eSEOspace, Ethos Ink, JBL, San Diego AI Marketing and SizzleForce each have 1 staff member here. DAP is based in Chicago, Thrive in Arlington, Texas, and Upgrow's La Jolla office has a very small local team. D+R prints no street address. Future Holidays is fully remote, The Fletcher Method and TGM have no San Diego presence, and Willix AI is in Clovis.
Some are not what they appear. Advanced AI Marketing, Marketer Zilla and REBL Labs name no clients and publish no case studies, Mouthpiece names one client and no people, and AI Creative Solutions lists template-style clients such as "Tech Innovators Inc." Lion Bear and Self Image Media share an operator and a client list. Strive prints Thrive Agency's Las Vegas and Orlando addresses as its own. cpcstrategy.com now serves Tinuiti, and 3qdept.com serves DEPT.
Others had AI claims that did not hold up. Red Door has a real San Diego team, but its AI tool names appear only in an AI terms-of-use page. WISE's "$500,000 in new client contracts from AI search" is its own new business, not client work. Amsive, Blue Media, Chase Design, Compass, EnlightWorks, Forged, iMatrix, KWSM, LawRank, Opel, Planet Marketing, PROS, Rank Harvest, Redideo Studio, Runningfish, Scalable Growth, Smartboost, Storm Brain, TM SEO and VSSL sell AI search or plain automation as a service line, not AI in delivery.
Software, IT, consulting, staffing and other firms that surface in San Diego marketing searches are not marketing agencies and are not assessed here.
How to choose between them
If you want AI search and SEO from a firm that documents its AI, start with Seer Interactive. Consumer and ecommerce brands that want scale from a local headquarters should talk to Power Digital, and brands whose channel is content should talk to Siege Media. B2B technology companies belong with BOL, or with Digitopia if they run on HubSpot. Multi-location brands losing leads to slow response should look at Ignite Visibility, law firms at iLawyer Marketing, and clinics at Automated Practice. Big paid budgets point to Tinuiti, AI product builds to DEPT, and Amazon sellers to Intero Digital. Nonprofits should talk to Fifty and Fifty, B2B SaaS companies that want digital PR to Green Flag Digital, and a local business that wants one team for search, ads and outbound email to 2POINT.
My view is that paying an agency more is worth it when you lack a dedicated team and the experience to run a channel yourself, and I have made that call for our own clipping campaigns. Pick the one channel you cannot run in-house, then pick the agency that is strongest at it.
How this list is ranked
How this list is ranked
I score every marketing agency here on four criteria, for a total out of 50: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real San Diego team, each out of 10. Each card links the sources behind its score.
Nitrosend, which I co-founded, publishes this page. It is an email platform for agencies, not a marketing agency, and is not ranked.
FAQ
Seer Interactive, if you are picking one name with no other constraint, because it publishes the most detailed account of the AI it runs on client work and ties it to a measured result. Power Digital scores level with it and is the pick if you want a large team headquartered here. From there the shortlist splits by need: Siege Media for content, NP Digital for scale, BOL for B2B, and iLawyer Marketing for law firms.
The difference shows in what each one publishes. Seer ties its SCAI content model to a 50% cut in production time. Power Digital describes what Omega does on live accounts. Siege describes the engine that builds its content roadmaps. Read those three pages and you will know which of them describes your problem.
Between $997 and $10,000 a month on retainer, with launches and rebuilds from $10K to $50K. The range comes from San Diego firms that publish their prices.
Click Track Marketing publishes SEO plans at $2,000, $3,500 and $5,000 a month, with Google Maps ranking from $997 a month in lower-competition categories or $2,250 in contested ones. 2POINT puts typical San Diego marketing packages at $3,000 to $10,000 a month, with foundation packages at $2,000 to $5,000. Formula Marketing puts performance retainers at $5,000 to $7,500 a month and brand launches and rebuilds at $10K to $50K.
The number to check a quote against is the in-house cost. Mindgruve, headquartered here, pays an Account Manager in San Diego $28 to $32 an hour, and its postings open to San Diego among other locations pay an SEO Manager $75,000 to $85,000, a Paid Search Supervisor $85,000 to $95,000 and a Director of Social Commerce $120,000 to $140,000. Those salaries are before benefits, tools and management time.
The ad spend, and often the software. A retainer buys people and their hours, and the media budget sits on top. A website build or brand launch is usually a separate project fee: Formula Marketing prices those at $10K to $50K. AI work adds its own lines, because an AI receptionist or a lead responder is a build plus a monthly fee, and model usage is billed to someone.
Ask who owns the accounts. The ad accounts, the analytics property and the email platform should be in your name, so the history stays with you if the agency changes.
Look for one of four things: a named tool with a described function, a named workflow, a person with an AI or automation role on the team, or a case study that ties automation to a number. A banner is not evidence.
Every AI point on this page links to one of those. Ignite Visibility describes what its lead responder does and how fast. SEO Inc describes the MCP server it sets up. BOL names a Chief AI Officer on its team page.
On four criteria: AI automation out of 20, and specialization, published evidence and a real San Diego-area team, each out of 10, for a total out of 50. Each card links the sources behind its score.
